San Carlos Roof Bee Removal

Here are a few pictures from the removal of an established honey bee colony in the roof of a house with an exterior entrance, in San Carlos, California. A quick scan with the thermal imager pinpointed the location of the colony behind sheet rock in the roof space in an area of missing insulation and facilitated a very efficient and effective removal. In the end, 5 gallons of comb, 1 gallon of honey, and a huge volume of bees were removed. The entrance hole was sealed and a handyman will come to patch up the drywall.
