San Carlos apartment wall bee colony removal

Here is a pretty large colony that probably grew to the size over a good year or two. As soon as I opened it up I found 3 queen cells and a queen hanging close by – perhaps ready to fight. The rescue was fairly straightforward and in the end two buckets of bees were collected and moved, along with their comb, re-united several miles away in Redwood City. Thanks to Don, Kim, and Gus for saving these bees!
